Request workflow
- 1
Create the request
Enter the purpose, requested amount, and operating category such as Operating Supplies where applicable.
- 2
Submit for review
Move the completed request from Draft to Submitted.
- 3
Approve or reject
Approval sets the authorized ceiling for the request. It is authorization—not payment, purchase, delivery, or liquidation.
- 4
Release funds when needed
When Budget Releases & Liquidation is available, create Linked Budget Releases against the approved request.
- 5
Track what remains unreleased
Use Approved but Unreleased to see the approved amount that has not yet been released.
Request and release status
| Type | Statuses |

Linked Budget Releases
Office Budget Requests requires Budget Releases & Liquidation for the linked release workflow. The sum of linked releases must not exceed the approved ceiling.
- Approved but Unreleased = approved request amount that has not yet been released.
- Releasing funds does not create a Company Expense by itself.
How this relates to Company Expenses
An office budget request authorizes company operating funds. Actual company spending belongs in the supported expense or liquidation workflow. Because this is company-level overhead, it does not affect an individual project’s profit.
More details
Does a request repeat automatically?
No. Office Budget Requests does not automatically create recurring monthly or scheduled requests. Create a new request when another authorization is needed.
Are request notifications automated?
Dedicated request notifications remain deferred in the current implementation. Review the request queue and normal company workflow for status changes.
This workflow supports internal authorization and does not replace formal accounting.
Important notes
- Approval authorizes an amount; it does not prove that money was released or spent.
- Linked releases must remain within the approved ceiling.
- Record actual company costs only through the supported expense or liquidation path.
