Build a pipeline
- 1
Add a prospect or opportunity
Open Sales → Client Pipeline and add an opportunity. Create a new prospect inline or choose an existing client.
- 2
Move the stage
Use explicit stage actions to move among Lead, Site Survey, Proposal Submitted, and Negotiation.
- 3
Keep follow-ups current
Set a next action and follow-up date so the Follow-ups tab shows who to contact next.
- 4
Record the outcome
Mark Won or Lost when the sales decision is final. Lost requires a reason. Reopen only with an explicit action.
Quotations and projects
Client Pipeline and Quotations are independent paid modules. When both are enabled, an opportunity can create or link a quotation. Quotation client details remain document snapshots after create.
- Creating or linking a quotation does not change the opportunity stage automatically.
- Marking an opportunity Won does not automatically create a Project.
- Use Create Project on a won opportunity, then open the linked Project Command Center for execution.
Access and history
Admins and Managers share the company sales workspace. Supervisors and Employees do not have Client Pipeline access.
- Archive a client instead of deleting it so history remains.
- Activity is append-only. Completing a follow-up records activity rather than deleting it.
- If the module expires, historical records stay readable while entitlement policy permits. New changes require an active entitlement.
More details
Who can use Client Pipeline?
Admins and Managers can view and update the company pipeline when Client Pipeline is enabled. Supervisors and Employees cannot open the workspace or APIs.
Does Client Pipeline require Quotations?
No. The pipeline works without Quotations. Quotation create and link actions appear only when both modules are readable.
Important notes
- Client Pipeline is a contractor sales workspace, not a generic enterprise CRM.
- Won work does not become a Project until someone converts it.
- Project labor, expenses, and collections stay in Projects after conversion.
