Overview
Connect authorized Google Drive storage and configure the folder used for supported project documents. The free Prospeno module does not provide unrestricted access to a Google account or include Google storage.
Settings → Integrations → Google Drive manages connection and configuration; supported project documents use the configured storage.
Who can use it
- Admins activate, connect, and configure the company integration.
- Users retain the existing Prospeno project/document permissions and Google access requirements.
Before you start
- Activate Google Drive in Module Marketplace, then open Settings → Integrations.
- Use an account authorized for the intended My Drive or Shared Drive folder. Shared Drive access must be granted by your organization.
- Google storage quotas and any provider subscription remain separate.
Workflow
- 1
Connect the company account
An Admin starts Connect and completes Google authorization. Module activation alone does not connect Google.
- 2
Select authorized storage
Open Configure and use the Google picker to authorize the intended folder in My Drive or a Shared Drive. A pasted Shared Drive identifier alone does not grant file access.
- 3
Review the document root
Review the Prospeno root-folder configuration and confirm any root-location change. Check that the connected account can access the selected location.
- 4
Use supported project documents
Upload and access documents through the supported project document workflow. Test access with the intended team permissions before relying on the storage location.
Availability and statuses
- Module activation, Google connection, and folder configuration are separate states.
- Google authorization is limited to files created or explicitly authorized for this app; it does not grant access to every file in a Drive.
- Read-only or inactive module state blocks configuration mutations. Disconnecting does not grant new access or delete original business records.
Limitations
Troubleshooting
- For missing folders, use the picker with the intended account and confirm Shared Drive membership.
- For denied file access, check both project permissions and the Google authorization for that file or folder.
- For a failed or expired OAuth attempt, restart Connect from Settings. Do not reuse an old callback.
Important notes
- Module activation, Google connection, and folder configuration are separate states.
- Google authorization is limited to files created or explicitly authorized for this app; it does not grant access to every file in a Drive.
- Read-only or inactive module state blocks configuration mutations. Disconnecting does not grant new access or delete original business records.
- This integration is not a general-purpose Drive browser, unrestricted backup, or automatic two-way file synchronization service.
- Selecting a Shared Drive does not override Google permissions or storage quotas.
- Changing the root location is a deliberate configuration change; do not assume existing documents are automatically migrated.
