Manage a project roster
- 1
Find the project
Search or filter the project list, then open Manage assignments.
- 2
Add the right people
Admins can manage the full roster. An assigned Manager can add another existing company Manager and manage the project team.
- 3
Set a lead when useful
A Manager or Supervisor can be marked as the lead contact for the project.
- 4
Remove access when work ends
Removing a member ends the active assignment while preserving assignment history.
Assignment groups
Managers
Management access to the assigned project. One Manager may be marked as lead.
Supervisors
Operational access to assigned project and field workflows according to role rules.
Labor Personnel
Employees who belong to the project field team and may see the project in supported work flows.
Viewers
Read-only project visibility without project-management authority.
Who can manage assignments
| Role | Assignments access |
|---|---|
| Admin | Can view and manage the project roster, including add/remove and lead designation. |
| Manager | Can add an existing company Manager to a project they manage and manage its project team. Cannot change company roles or remove Project Managers. |
| Supervisor | No Assignments page access. |
| Employee | No Assignments page access. |
What an assignment changes
- Managers see projects allowed by their role and assignment.
- Supervisors receive assigned project operational access.
- Employees see assigned projects in My Work and supported field workflows.
- Viewers receive read-only project visibility.
- Assignment does not override company role restrictions.
Important notes
- A Manager can add an existing active company Manager only to a project the actor already manages; this never changes either company role.
- Lead designation identifies the primary contact; it does not grant a different company role.
- Removing an assignment does not erase historical business records.
