Overview
A development guide to controlled Transport billing tests. The module is not generally available, cannot be purchased from Module Marketplace, and is not approved official invoicing.
Transport → Billing & Collections is a restricted development/testing destination, not a generally released module.
Who can use it
- Only explicitly authorized test companies and users may exercise the controlled Preview/Staging flow.
- Admin test enablement is restricted to the approved non-Production environment. Existing Admin/Manager finance permissions still apply within that flow.
Before you start
- Transport workspace access plus explicit participation in the controlled test.
- Use isolated synthetic test records and the approved test environment, never customer records to simulate historical inconsistencies.
- Selecting Transport does not enable Billing & Collections. There is no public purchase or general activation path.
Workflow
- 1
Confirm test authorization
Confirm the company and environment are approved for the controlled test. Customers without access should use their current authorized billing process.
- 2
Review a synthetic draft
In the authorized test, review booking references, line values, company billing profile, tax/withholding treatment, and calculated totals before marking a draft ready.
- 3
Exercise guarded status changes
The test flow covers Draft, Ready, Issued, and Voided states with protected issue, reopen, void, and credit actions. Issuing a test record is not regulatory approval.
- 4
Reconcile collections
Review receipt/collection and reversal history against the balance. Collections and withholding are settlement information, not another sale or expense.
Availability and statuses
- The module remains In development / Coming soon in the catalog and marketplace.
- Draft, Ready, Issued, and Voided describe test billing records; they do not change product release status.
- There is no standard customer activation or expiry promise while the controlled test remains restricted.
Limitations
Troubleshooting
- An unavailable page or enable action is expected outside the authorized test. Contact support for availability; do not try another workspace to bypass the restriction.
- Within a test, review record status, permissions, source references, and company configuration before retrying a guarded action.
- Preserve issued, voided, credited, and collection history; do not edit database records to force a test result.
Important notes
- The module remains In development / Coming soon in the catalog and marketplace.
- Draft, Ready, Issued, and Voided describe test billing records; they do not change product release status.
- There is no standard customer activation or expiry promise while the controlled test remains restricted.
- No claim of BIR accreditation, approved official invoicing, regulatory compliance certification, or automatic availability is made.
- Planned billing capabilities and catalog pricing are not a promise of released functionality or a purchase offer.
- Do not enable this in Production or use synthetic invoices as official customer documents.
