Before you start
Only an Admin can create a project. Prepare the contract amount, budgeted labor/material/other costs, target dates, and the people who will work on it.
Create the project
- 1
Enter project details
Add the project name. Client, location, type, scope, and notes can be added when useful.
- 2
Set the financial baseline
These values are the starting estimate used to compare expected and actual project performance.
- Contract Amount
- Budgeted Labor Cost
- Budgeted Material Cost
- Budgeted Other Cost
- 3
Set the schedule and status
Choose the start date, target end date, and initial status. Planning is the usual choice when work has not started.
- 4
Assign the team
Add the Managers, Supervisors, and Employees who need access to the project. Assignments control visibility but do not create attendance or labor records.
- 5
Start tracking
Save the project. Prospeno opens the Project Command Center so you can begin recording labor, expenses, billings, and collections.
Understand the starting profit estimate
This is the original estimate, not the final result. As work progresses, approved actual costs are compared with the baseline.
Project capacity
The company plan controls how many active projects can be created. Completed projects may also follow plan-based history-retention rules.
Important notes
- Project creation is web-only and Admin-only.
- Budget values are estimates; they are not actual project costs.
- Change the baseline only when the approved commercial value, scope, or budget genuinely changes.
